Lee began his music career in 1967 as a bassist for performers in Vancouver’s Folk Music Scene. From 1968 to 1975 he was a bassist/vocalist in various blues and country bands including My Indole Ring, Mock Duck and Hydro Electric Streetcar. From 1975 to 1980 played with Fireweed, The Cement City Cowboys and Blue Northern, with whom he recorded a modestly successful album. From 1982 to 1990, Lee toured throughout Canada with Morris Bates “The Elvis Presley Story”. Lee moved to Calgary in 1992 where he played with Fats and the Cats, (a Fats Domino tribute band) playing 50’s rock and jazz standards.
From 1993 until 2000 he played with Midnight Cargo and many Elvis tribute bands, notably Elvis, Elvis, Elvis, which toured extensively throughout Canada and the US. He now plays with The Zimmermen, Rusty Creek and Among the Blind.
